Job summary

Confidential is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in MEP/HVAC sales, estimation, and tendering to drive competitive bids across Oman. The role covers tender preparation, supplier negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration to win major commercial, industrial, healthcare, and residential projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in MEP/HVAC sales, estimation and tendering.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems.
• Experience preparing competitive tenders for large-scale projects.
• Understanding of FIDIC contracts and GCC construction practices preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract conditions.
• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates for MEP works.
• Coordinate with engineering, design, procurement, and project teams during tendering.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare commercial and technical proposals, bid documentation, and tender submissions.
• Analyze project risks and identify value-engineering opportunities to improve competitiveness.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, technical clarifications, and site visits as required.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders during tendering.
• Support order finalization and ensure smooth handover to project execution.
• Maintain cost databases, supplier information, and market pricing for tenders.
• Monitor market trends and contribute to business development initiatives.
