Job summary

Oman Refinery seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer focusing on rotating equipment to ensure reliability and performance across maintenance, projects, and operations. You will review technical deliverables, troubleshoot complex issues, and lead key evaluations with a cross-functional team.

You will collaborate with procurement and external vendors to secure high-quality equipment, manage safety/regulatory compliance, and contribute to continuous improvement, capital projects, and shutdown

Qualifications

Minimum college graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Serve as SME for mechanical engineering issues and provide guidance for operational reliability.
Review design packages, specifications, calculations, and reports.
Provide troubleshooting and root cause analyses for critical equipment failures.
Ensure compliance with HSSE standards and regulatory obligations.
Support major capital projects and turnarounds with timely mechanical input.
Lead technical evaluations and cost analyses for upgrades or modifications.
Coordinate with procurement and vendors for reliable, cost-effective equipment.
