Job summary

A leading green steel company in Oman seeks an experienced materials handling engineer to oversee the logistics and materials handling scope for a large direct reduced iron plant. The role requires a minimum of 15 years' experience in heavy industrial projects, particularly in bulk materials handling, and a bachelor's degree in engineering. Ideal candidates will have experience working in high ambient temperature environments and possess strong command of transport logistics planning. Additional qualifications such as a master's degree or recognized professional status are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years' experience in bulk materials handling engineering on heavy industrial projects.
• Strong experience with ship unloaders, conveyors, and stockyard systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering from FEED through to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering of ship unloading equipment for pellet import.
• Own design and specification of stockyards and transfer systems.
• Manage interface with port authority and port development partner.
