Job summary

Green Umbrella Recruitment is seeking a Logistics Engineer for operations in Oman. You will lead end-to-end logistics planning, oversee tendering for logistics services, and coordinate shipments from origin to destination, ensuring compliance across customs and permits.

The role requires 7+ years in EPC or international trade with at least 5 years in logistics, strong English proficiency, and willingness to base in Oman with overseas assignments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years in EPC project management or international trade, with at least 5 years in logistics management.
• Strong background in logistics and procurement processes; renewable energy experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of international import/export procedures, Incoterms, customs policies, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent English proficiency for daily communication, negotiation, and contract signing.

Responsibilities

• Feasibility & cost analysis for factory material shipments, including cost estimation and reports on routes, port resources, and duty exemptions.
• Tendering management for logistics services, including pre-qualification, tender docs, and bidding processes.
• Coordinate end-to-end logistics operations, including duty exemptions, marine transport, customs clearance, and inland transport.
• Shipment coordination with China-based teams, monitor subcontractors, track status, and resolve incidents.
• Liaise with customs authorities and support import inspections and registrations in Oman.
• Interface with Oman authorities to obtain permits and exemptions for logistics activities.
• Arrange cargo insurance and manage claims with insurers as needed.
