Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in the mason profession, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of construction materials, tools, methods and masonry techniques.
• Strong leadership to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Physically fit to lift heavy materials and work at heights if needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of masons, including assigning tasks and guidance.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints and plans to determine project requirements.
• Prepare work schedules and coordinate with other trades for smooth workflow.
• Train new employees on masonry techniques and safety protocols.
• Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections and identify issues or areas for improvement.
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations.
