Job summary

Atyab Group in Muscat, Oman, seeks an experienced in-house Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance across jurisdictions. You will draft and negotiate contracts, manage governance and regulatory compliance, and lead the legal team while coordinating with external counsel as needed.

The role involves overseeing litigation and risk management, advising the CEO and executive leadership, and ensuring all actions align with applicable laws and corporate objectives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in international law or corporate law.
• 6+ years of experience as a legal advisor/counsel.
• In-house corporate law experience across national and international operations.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Experience in corporate litigation and settlements.
• Knowledge of local and international law and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with Omani and/or British law principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely legal advice to support strategic objectives across jurisdictions.
• Draft, review, negotiate contracts and corporate documentation.
• Lead regulatory risk assessment and implement mitigation measures.
• Oversee litigation, disputes, and coordination with external counsel.
• Manage the legal team and relationships with governmental authorities.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the CEO.
