Job summary

Oman Investment Authority is seeking a senior in-house lawyer to provide independent legal advice on commercial, regulatory, and operational matters. The role involves drafting and negotiating agreements, conducting legal research, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure compliance within established legal frameworks.

Ideal candidates have 6–8 years of experience, a valid Bar admission, and a strong understanding of contract law and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

LLB or equivalent from a reputable university with admission to a recognized civil or common law Bar.

Responsibilities

Provide legal advice on routine business, contractual and operational matters.
Draft, review and negotiate standard commercial agreements and legal documents.
Conduct legal research and analyse regulatory requirements affecting business operations.
Review contractual obligations and identify legal implications and potential risks.
Support legal due diligence for projects and transactions.
Assist in assessment and mitigation of legal risks.
Prepare legal opinions, reports, summaries and recommendations.
Coordinate with business stakeholders to ensure legal requirements are addressed.
Liaise with external legal advisors on assigned matters under supervision.
Escalate significant legal risks and complex matters.
Contribute to continuous improvement of legal practices and processes.
