Job summary

Oman Investment Authority seeks a Senior Legal Lead to steer the delivery of legal advisory and compliance services across the organisation. You will oversee a legal team, allocate resources, manage material risks, and ensure alignment with business priorities.

You will lead complex negotiations, support strategic projects, and develop standards and best practices while building strong relationships with regulators and external counsel. Excellent English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in legal advisory and compliance within a recognised corporate entity.
• Extensive experience in legal advisory, contract negotiations, dispute resolution and risk management.
• Proven experience supporting executive management on strategic legal matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead the provision of legal advice and guidance on strategic commercial contractual regulatory and operational matters.
• Oversee and direct complex negotiations, agreements, disputes and sensitive legal matters.
• Lead legal support for strategic projects, investments, partnerships, financing arrangements and major commercial transactions.
• Direct legal risk management activities and mitigate legal exposures.
• Provide strategic legal advice and assessments to executive management on significant decisions and developments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and contractual obligations.
• Oversee litigation, disputes, claims and engagement with external counsel.
• Develop and approve legal standards, templates, guidance and best practices across the organization.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assess impact.
• Build and maintain relationships with regulators, external counsel and key stakeholders.
• Support development of legal awareness and compliance culture.
• Identify and drive improvements in legal service delivery.
