Role Overview
The Senior Immigration Specialist will lead Amazon's KSA Immigration Operations, overseeing end‑to‑end case management, driving operational excellence, and ensuring strict compliance with Saudi regulations. As a subject matter expert, the role focuses on enhancing process efficiency, delivering exceptional employee experiences, and aligning immigration operations with Amazon’s business goals.
The Senior Specialist will oversee the country program performance, implement quality control measures, and execute process improvements to streamline workflows and reduce risks. Acting as a strategic partner, they will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and engage with Saudi authorities to navigate regulatory changes. With a focus on continuous improvement and stakeholder advocacy, the Senior Immigration Specialist will drive scalable solutions, address complex challenges, and set new standards for service delivery in a dynamic and evolving immigration landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Case management – end‑to‑end management of all KSA case types, ensuring first response time within 24 business hours, PRR minimum goal of 90%, SLA adherence on processing times as per SOPs, quality control to ensure filing accuracy and avoid fines or penalties, clear and timely customer communication within SLA, validation and secure handling of original documents, efficient escalation management, full adherence to quality standards, accurate tracker and system updates, timely escalation of issues, and input for process improvement opportunities.
- Strategic process enhancement – drive end‑to‑end process improvements using data‑driven insights, implement mitigation plans, assess impact on satisfaction and outcomes, iterate on strategies to set industry benchmarks, improve efficiency, and adapt to the dynamic Saudi immigration landscape.
- Operational excellence and efficiency – monitor key performance indicators, lead regular performance reviews (WBRs, MBRs, QBRs), collaborate with leadership on strategic plans for scalability, auditing frameworks, and reporting, drive initiatives to enhance process efficiency, streamline workflows, improve response times, align resources with goals, and ensure compliance and measurable service delivery.
- Cross‑functional leadership for managing externalities – foster strategic partnerships with stakeholders (e.g., AET, PXT, Legal, Compliance), partner with public policy teams to engage with Saudi authorities on Saudization, visa policy, eligibility requirements, and regulatory updates, provide thought leadership on trends and best practices.
- Talent development and knowledge management – mentor team members, foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, champion process expertise, ensure readiness to address ambiguity and complex challenges.
- Immigration specialist accountabilities – serve as SME, provide guidance on complex cases and regulatory queries, respond to regulatory changes, participate in cross‑functional initiatives, conduct regular reviews with the team, oversee program performance through dashboards, implement quality controls, drive continuous improvement, partner with Quality Control to address gaps.
- Business advocacy and stakeholder engagement – build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, identify process enhancement opportunities, reduce rework, improve outcomes, represent KSA Immigration in leadership discussions, collaborate with Talent Acquisition on local talent mobility trends.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Program Management, Human Resources, Employment Law, Computer Science, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managing an immigration program, including external partners, implementation, or team management.
- Fluency in Arabic.
