Job summary

Tanmia seeks a Fund Manager to oversee the fund's portfolio strategy, security selection, and daily management to generate alpha and outperform benchmarks. In Oman, the role demands rigorous top-down and bottom-up analysis, disciplined risk control, and clear communication with the Investment Committee.

You will lead asset allocation, trade execution, and performance reporting to the Head of Investments, leveraging GCC/MENA market insight and advanced financial modeling capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience with at least 3–5 years as a portfolio manager/fund manager.
• Proven multi-year track record of outperforming benchmark indices on a risk-adjusted basis.
• Strong foundation in quantitative disciplines (mathematics, statistics, econometrics, data analytics).
• Knowledge of GCC/MENA public markets and Islamic finance where relevant.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an investment strategy to generate alpha within public markets.
• Formulate asset allocation and execute buys/sells across liquid securities to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
• Monitor portfolio risk and benchmark performance against target indices.
• Produce regular performance reports for the Head of Investments and Investment Committee.
• Engage with corporate management teams on strategic capital allocation and governance.
