Job summary

Oman Refinery is seeking an experienced leader to govern and improve its financial systems landscape across the OQ Group. You will ensure data integrity, compliance with IFRS, and effective reporting and consolidation while partnering with Finance and IT to enable regulatory and operational needs.

You will own master data governance, drive system enhancements, manage user access controls, and oversee month-end to year-end closes with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or administration; professional qualification preferred.
• CPA/CA/ACCA/CTA/CTP or equivalent designation is required or highly desirable.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in financial systems and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own and enforce financial master data governance across COA, cost centers, projects, and financial dimensions.
• Establish internal controls within financial systems including user access and segregation of duties.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and alignment with group reporting requirements.
• Oversee system documentation, configuration standards, and change-control protocols.
• Lead as business owner for core financial systems ensuring availability, integrity, and scalability.
• Manage system governance frameworks: role access, change management, data ownership, and documentation.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles and system readiness across teams.
• Lead and mentor the Financial Systems team and coordinate with IT, ERP, and vendors.
