Job summary
Orion Group seeks an experienced Senior Engineer, Electrical Reliability to develop reliability strategies and lead condition-monitoring initiatives in Oman. You will implement predictive maintenance, perform RCA/FMEA, and guide junior staff to improve asset performance.
The role requires extensive experience with high/low voltage assets, substation knowledge, and strong analytical skills. Fluency in English is essential; Arabic desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- 12+ years’ experience in substations, power generation, or power distribution.
- Experience with electrical condition monitoring techniques and insulation testing.
- Proven experience with predictive maintenance tools and software.
- Excellent English communication skills; Arabic desirable.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise to operations and maintenance teams for critical electrical assets.
- Develop and implement reliability improvement plans and preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
- Lead RCA, FMEA, and RC M studies for electrical failures and reliability.
- Perform remaining-life assessments and lifecycle management.
- Analyse condition monitoring data and propose corrective actions.
- Monitor MTBF/MTTR and prepare reliability performance reports.
