Job summary

Dar Al Riyadh Group seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in PMC projects to lead design reviews, ensure code compliance, and supervise on-site electrical works. You will coordinate with multiple disciplines, review submittals, FATs, and drive commissioning activities, ensuring safety and quality across all project phases.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of LV/MV systems, BMS/ELV, and international codes, plus hands-on experience with ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD, and Revit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years in electrical engineering, including PMC or consultancy roles.
• Deep understanding of LV/MV, lighting, fire alarm, BMS and ELV systems.
• Proficiency with design tools ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, IEC, IEEE and other international codes.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify electrical design drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable codes.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural and other engineers for integration.
• Monitor on-site electrical works for QA, safety and design intent.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, method statements, and RFIs.
• Support project planning by validating electrical activities and milestones.
• Conduct FAT and oversee testing and commissioning activities.
• Provide technical support to project teams and contractors during procurement and construction.
• Attend project meetings and prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Incorporate sustainability and energy efficiency into electrical design where applicable.

Job description

We are seeking a highly competent Senior Electrical Engineer with at least 10 years of experience to oversee electrical engineering activities within a PMC project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for design review, technical compliance, site supervision, and coordination of electrical works throughout all project phases. This role requires in-depth knowledge of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, ELV, and other building electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify electrical design drawings, specifications, and calculations submitted by consultants and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, international codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE), and local regulations.
• Coordinate and liaise with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
• Monitor and inspect electrical works on-site for quality assurance, safety compliance, and adherence to design intent.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information).
• Support project planning by validating electrical activities, timelines, and milestones.
• Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) and oversee testing and commissioning activities.
• Provide technical support to project teams and contractors during procurement and construction stages.
• Attend project meetings and prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Ensure that sustainability and energy efficiency requirements are integrated into the electrical design (where applicable).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, including at least 5 years in a PMC or consultancy role.
• Deep understanding of building electrical systems: LV, MV, lighting, fire alarm, BMS, and ELV systems.
• Proficiency in design and analysis tools such as ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, etc.
• Thorough knowledge of international codes and standards (NEC, IEC, IEEE, BS, etc.).
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure, commercial, healthcare, or mixed-use developments.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
