Confidential Company in Oman is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with GCC experience to lead electrical infrastructure for commercial building projects. You will oversee LV and ELV systems, review designs, and coordinate with MEP disciplines to ensure on-time, on-budget execution.
Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in electrical engineering, strong knowledge of IEC/NFPA/Gulf standards, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
Supervise the installation, testing and commissioning of LV and ELV electrical systems for commercial building projects. Review electrical shop drawings, method statements, technical submittals and material approvals before execution. Coordinate electrical works with MEP disciplines to ensure smooth project execution and resolve site clashes. Monitor subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and construction schedules. Conduct site inspections and ensure all electrical installations comply with approved drawings, IEC standards and local authority requirements. Prepare RFIs, inspection requests, technical documentation and project progress reports. Coordinate with consultants, clients and authorities to obtain approvals and resolve technical issues. Oversee the installation of transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, lighting, power distribution and ELV systems. Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, HSE requirements and project specifications throughout construction activities. Support project planning, progress monitoring and successful project handover within budget and schedule.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering within the commercial construction industry, including GCC experience. Strong experience in LV and ELV systems, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, CCTV, BMS, Access Control, and Fire Alarm systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and electrical design principles such as load calculations and cable sizing. Thorough knowledge of IEC, NFPA, Gulf standards, and local authority approval requirements. Excellent coordination, communication, and project management skills with experience in commercial and hospitality projects.
