Job summary

Employment in Oman seeks a seasoned Construction Quality Manager to lead QC activities for a major QLNG project at the Sohar Yard. The on-site senior quality authority will oversee fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning, ensuring strict adherence to project specs and international standards.

The role requires managing a large QC team (50+ inspectors/engineers) across disciplines, driving a culture of quality excellence, and coordinating with QatarEnergy/Qatargas requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of progressive QC/QA experience in offshore oil & gas.
• Experience leading large QC teams (50+ inspectors) across multiple disciplines.
• Proficiency with international codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS, ACI, IEC, ISO 9001).
• Ability to implement QMS and project ITPs across complex projects.
• Strong interface with clients and regulators to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Control Plan and ITPs.
• Lead the Project Quality Management System (QMS) and training for teams.
• Oversee inspection, testing, and material verification, including NDE activities.
• Manage NCRs/CARs and drive root-cause analysis with timely closure.
• Audit contractors and vendors; ensure compliance with QLNG/QatarEnergy/Qatargas requirements.
