Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a highly experienced Construction Quality Manager to lead all QC activities for a major QLNG project at the Sohar Yard. The role requires strategic leadership of a 50+ QC team across multiple disciplines, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of progressive QC/QA experience in offshore oil & gas construction and fabrication projects.
• Proven leadership of large QC teams (50+ inspectors) across multiple disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS, ACI, IEC, ISO 9001).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Control Plan and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Establish and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001:2015 and project requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a large QC team across multiple disciplines.
• Oversee all inspection, testing, and material verification activities including FAT/SAT.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards and review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and related records.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and drive root cause analysis.
• Audit contractors, vendors, and internal processes for quality compliance.
• Interface with QatarEnergy/Qatargas QA/QC teams and client representatives on quality performance.
