Job summary

Worley in Oman seeks a senior Commissioning Leader to drive pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and handover activities on large oil & gas projects. You will coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction and operations, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, set work scopes, verify competence and foster HSSE excellence. The role requires a chemical or mechanical engineering background and 20+ years in major projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in major Oil & Gas projects.
• Extensive experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, test runs, and plant acceptance activities.
• Proven experience leading and managing multidisciplinary commissioning teams.
• Strong knowledge of commissioning procedures, practices, and industry standards.
• Demonstrated leadership capability in large-scale project environments.
• Experience managing EPCM projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSSE leadership and promote safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Lead and manage all pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and plant acceptance activities to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate commissioning activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to commissioning personnel, engineers, and supervisors.
• Ensure commissioning work scopes are planned, managed, and executed in accordance with project objectives.
• Drive project readiness, testing, system completion, and handover activities to achieve milestones.
• Manage a large team across a major program of work.
