Salam Air in Muscat seeks an experienced Lead Aircraft Engineering Project Manager to drive complex, high-value aviation programs across fleet maintenance, modifications, and EIS initiatives. You will coordinate with MROs, manage contracts, and ensure regulatory compliance while optimizing downtime and fleet availability.

The role requires a graduate in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Electrical Engineering or ICAO type II license and at least 15 years in aviation, including 5 leading technical projects.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Electrical Engineering or ICAO type II Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license.
• Minimum of 15 years in aviation, with at least 5 years leading technical projects.

Aufgaben

• Lead and manage aircraft engineering and fleet-related projects from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate BFE selection and procurement with user departments and TMD.
• Oversee routine and non-routine checks including WP, engine changes, and modifications.
• Interface with stakeholders to manage contractual obligations and resolve disputes.
• Prepare proposals, statements of work, technical specs, and cost estimates.
• Act as liaison between internal and external parties regarding specs and production processes.
• Oversee heavy maintenance activities (C-Checks, structural inspections, cabin refurbishments).
• Coordinate with contracted MROs for planning, execution, and redelivery of heavy maintenance.
• Manage hangar induction and redelivery, ensuring schedules, budgets, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor milestones, findings, scope changes, and mitigation actions.
• Lead Entry Into Service (EIS) programs for new aircraft, including certifications and crew readiness.
• Ensure documentation is generated, controlled, and cleared for service release.
• Maintain technical records, publications, and compliance with standards.
• Lead End-of-Lease aircraft return projects and liaise with lessors.
• Coordinate short-term ACMI induction and related approvals.
• Support acquisitions, lease transitions, and fleet phase-in/phase-out.
• Plan and implement modifications and fleet enhancements.
• Collaborate with OEMs and regulators for modification approvals.
• Develop comprehensive project plans with scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation to minimize delays and costs.
