Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Muscat is seeking a Pastry Cook - Seasonal to join our Culinary team. You will assist the Chef de Partie in daily pastry duties and prepare ingredients and mise en place for pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other pastry items.

You will ensure high quality pastry mise en place, follow approved recipes, and maintain exact portioning and presentation standards. Work alongside a dedicated team in a luxury hotel setting by the sea.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie in daily duties within the Pastry section.
• Prepare ingredients and mise en place for pastries, desserts, cakes, breads and other pastry items.
• Ensure pastry mise en place is prepared to the highest quality according to standards.
• Prepare and produce pastry items according to approved recipes, portions and presentation standards.
• Ensure plating and presentation guides are followed according to dish descriptions.
