Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Muscat seeks a Demi Chef de Partie - Seasonal to join our luxury hotel kitchen. You will assist in daily kitchen duties, ensure mise en place and plating accuracy, and help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety in a dynamic environment.

As part of the culinary team, you will support other outlets and banquet operations as required, contributing to the MOHG Legendary Quality Experiences and maintaining impeccable service in Muscat.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie in daily duties and oversee during absence.
• Washes and peels ingredients for use in production of dishes.
• Ensure mise en place is prepared to highest quality per standards.
• Follow plating guides per dish description, cooking method and presentation image.
• Organize requisitions and storage for daily ingredients.
• Check daily ingredient inventory to avoid stockouts.
• Store ingredients properly and label containers.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of working surfaces and tools.
• Adhere to strict personal hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
• Support kitchen and stewarding areas and assist supervisors during checks.
• Comply with Mandarin Oriental Hotel standards and Muscat Municipality rules.
