Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Muscat is seeking a Seasonal Chef de Partie to join the Kitchen team on a full-time, on-site basis. You will work closely with the Chef de Cuisine to craft dishes, ensure accurate plating, and uphold the brand’s culinary standards in a luxury environment.

The role requires leadership, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a commitment to food safety and continuous learning within the Essenza kitchen. Training and exposure to MOHG luxury service are provided.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Chef de Cuisine to create dishes and suggest dishes for promotional events.
• Ensure plating guides are up to date and followed according to set dish description, cooking method and presentation image.
• Ensure that food is prepared in the most authentic way as standards set by the Chef de Cuisine.
• Identify areas for improvement in food and beverage quality and report to Chef de Cuisine.
• Encourage proactive inter-departmental communication to promote teamwork and enthusiasm.
• Provide leadership, direction, and support to all colleagues at any time.
• Assist in preparing weekly rosters and uphold food safety standards across Essenza kitchen.
• Attend required meetings and conduct hands-on dish training to keep knowledge current.
