Job summary

Bank Muscat is seeking a Sales Officer to drive business development across designated branches in Muscat. You will meet monthly targets for deposits, loans, bancassurance, and investments, while acquiring new customers and expanding existing relationships through cross-selling.

You will advise customers on banking products, handle inquiries, and conduct meetings outside the bank to collect instructions and deliver requirements. Strong communication and client-service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Business or relevant field.
• GPA 2.5 and above.
• 2023-2026 graduate.

Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly sales targets for key bank products (deposits, loans, new to bank customers, bancassurance, investments).
• New customer acquisition based on sales targets.
• Advise customers on their banking relationship to increase total relationship size through cross-selling.
• Monitor customer product details for cross selling and service efficiency.
• Complete daily customer contact targets (outbound calls/meetings).
• Inform customers of new products, services, and benefits; meet customers outside the bank as needed.
• Provide personalized service for all transactions including outside-the-bank meetings to collect instructions or deliver requirements.
• Resolve customer queries within the given time frame without escalation.
• Document activities, contacts/calls, meetings, and follow-through actions for MIS.

Job description

• Achieve monthly sales targets for key bank products (new deposits, loans, new to bank customers, bancassurance, investments/wealth etc.) as allocated.
• New customer acquisition based on sales targets.
• Advise customers on their banking relationship to increase their total relationship size with the bank by suggesting various products which suit his/her needs regularly (cross selling).
• Monitor each customer’s product details for cross selling and efficient and effective service.
• Complete daily customer contact targets (outside meetings, outbound calls etc.)
• Keep customers informed of new products, services and benefits offered by the bank.
• Meet customers outside the bank regularly.
• Provide personalized service for all types of customer transactions including meeting the customers outside the bank to collect instructions or deliver the requirements.
• Resolve customer queries within the given time frame without escalation.
• Document activities, contacts/calls made, meetings, follow-through action and results achieved as per MIS requirements for the role.
• Engage in periodic performance review with the reporting authority and Head Office Staff.
