Job summary

Specialized Import and Trading LLC - Oman, Muscat is seeking a Sales Engineer for Chemical & Process Solutions. You will identify and cultivate sales leads for refining catalysts, adsorbents, ceramic media, and process technology offerings across Oman industrial accounts.

You will review client RFQs, coordinate technical design reviews, compile compliant bids, and present technology capabilities with demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• Experience in technical sales or proposal engineering within refining/petrochemical sectors is preferred.
• Exposure to process technology offerings and catalysts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage sales leads for catalysts, adsorbents, ceramic media and process technologies across Oman.
• Review RFQs, understand feedstocks, coordinate technical design reviews, and prepare compliant bids.
• Maintain relationships with process engineers, procurement officers, and plant managers.
• Track tenders, turnaround schedules, and catalyst replacement cycles in Oman.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to client teams.
• Follow up bids, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with logistics for delivery.

Commercial & Technical Sales: Identify, cultivate, and manage sales leads for refining/petrochemical catalysts, adsorbents, ceramic media, and process technology offerings across Oman industrial accounts.

Technical Proposals & Clarifications: Review client RFQs (Request for Quotations), understand feedstocks and processing constraints, coordinate technical design reviews, and compile compliant commercial/technical bids.

Client Relationship Management: Maintain active contact with process engineers, procurement officers, and plant managers at key Omani industrial sites.

Market & Tender Tracking: Track upcoming turnaround/shutdown schedules, catalyst replacement cycles, and major operational upgrade tenders across Oman.

Technical Presentations & Product Demos: Present technology capabilities, unit performance optimization cases, and yield/selectivity benefits to client engineering teams.

Commercial Execution: Follow up on bids, lead contract negotiations, manage purchase order processing, and ensure smooth delivery schedules in coordination with logistics and field service teams.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (Petroleum Engineering with relevant process experience).Experience: 1 to 4 years in technical sales, proposal engineering, or unit operations within the refining, gas processing, or petrochemical sectors.Technical Familiarity:Exposure to technology domains (e.g., Hydroprocessing, Catalytic Reforming, Sorbex/Adsorption separation, Molecular Sieves, Hydrogen production, or Gas Treatment).
