Job summary

Oman Pharmaceuticals Products Co. LLC in Muscat, Oman is seeking a Purchase Officer with pharma experience to raise and process purchase requests and orders based on approved requirements.

The role requires sourcing and evaluating suppliers, obtaining quotations, negotiating terms, and coordinating with Production, QA/QC, and Finance to ensure timely delivery.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field and extensive experience in pharmaceutical procurement.

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
• Experience: 35 years in Pharmaceutical / Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Raise and process purchase requests and purchase orders based on approved requirements.
• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, packaging materials, chemicals, consumables, engineering items, and other materials.
• Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve delays or supply issues.
• Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Warehouse, Engineering, Finance, and R&D regarding material requirements and procurement status.
• Maintain approved supplier/vendor records and coordinate with QA for supplier qualification and documentation.
