Job summary

MENA HR Solutions LLC (IBD Group) in Sur, Oman, is seeking a Procurement Officer to manage sourcing and purchasing of materials, spare parts, equipment and services for industrial operations.

You will handle RFQs, POs, supplier negotiations, and ensure on-time delivery, while coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse, Finance, and Projects teams. A diploma or degree in SCM or related field and at least 3 years of procurement experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement or supply-chain experience.
• Experience in power generation, oil & gas, manufacturing, maintenance, EPC, or industrial operations is preferred.
• Experience purchasing industrial, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, MRO, or spare-parts materials is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of Oman suppliers and local procurement practices.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems is preferred.
• Good Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting skills.
• Strong sourcing, supplier-management, negotiation, and cost-control skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities from purchase requisition through delivery.
• Source suppliers and obtain quotations for materials, spare parts, equipment, and services.
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate quotations, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve delays or supply issues.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse, Finance, and Project teams.
• Procure mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, maintenance, and industrial spare parts.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier documentation, quotations, POs, delivery notes, and invoices.
• Monitor pending orders, urgent requirements, and critical spare-parts availability.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, price, delivery, and service.
• Support emergency procurement, shutdown, and maintenance requirements.
• Prepare procurement reports covering outstanding orders, supplier performance, and cost savings.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, budgets, HSE, and quality requirements.
