Job Summary
Operational Risk Manager responsible for all aspects of risk at the Jubail compounds, liaising with Royal Commission Security and attending all related meetings.
Major Responsibilities
- Supervises risk activities at the Bechtel Project and Jobsite.
- Informs management of major accomplishments, issues, and concerns.
- Develops and maintains close professional relationships with peers in law enforcement, security, foreign operations agencies, corporate Operational Risk groups, and third‑party information providers to provide timely threat information, travel safety advice, and incident management support.
- Implements risk awareness and training programs to enable employees and their families to remain secure at work, home, and other frequented sites.
- Supervises specialized training for assigned gate house staff.
- Supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel, recommending personnel and salary administration to functional management.
- Performs other tasks assigned by the supervisor and Corporate Operational Risk.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Any degree/diploma with 10–13 years of experience or 14–17 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in Security, Risk, Military Service, or a related field.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead a team, make independent decisions, and demonstrate a problem‑solving mindset.
- Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
- Results‑oriented and problem‑solving competency.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Bechtel experience with Operational Risk.
- Conducting threat assessments.
- Updating and conducting evacuation plans.
- Writing Operational Risk policies and procedures.
- Liaison with external Security agencies.
- Conducting briefings and presentations.
- Knowledge of industry best practices.
- Experience with CCTV and alarm systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Capacity to handle challenging people and situations.
- Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions quickly.
- High-level skill interfacing with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Hands‑on, solution‑ and delivery‑oriented approach.
