Job summary

Selex Group is seeking a Lighting Coordinator & Designer for our Muscat office. You will lead lighting calculations and drawings for indoor, outdoor, landscape, and street projects, using DIALux evo and AutoCAD. Revit knowledge is advantageous.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or Architecture, with 3–4 years of GCC-related lighting experience, strong coordination skills, and knowledge of EN standards and LED tech. Includes a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• 3-4 years of proven experience in lighting design and coordination, GCC preferred.
• Strong command of lighting calculation tools (DIALux evo / Relux) and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with EN 12464, EN 13201, CIE, LED lighting knowledge; Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lighting layouts and photometric calculations for indoor, outdoor, façade, landscape, and street lighting projects.
• Create lighting drawings, fixture schedules, and installation details; support with Revit when needed.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, manufacturers, and sales to meet project timelines.

Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Selex is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Lighting Coordinator & Designer to join our team in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in architectural, landscape, and street lighting design, with strong proficiency in lighting calculation software and a good understanding of lighting standards and products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare lighting layouts, photometric calculations, and lux level reports for indoor, outdoor, façade, landscape, and street lighting projects using DIALux evo, Relux, or similar tools.
• Prepare lighting drawings, fixture schedules, and installation details using AutoCAD. Revit knowledge is an advantage.
• Select suitable luminaires and propose alternatives based on project specifications, performance, and budget.
• Prepare BOQs, technical submittals, data sheets, and compliance statements for consultant approval.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, manufacturers, and the sales team to meet project requirements and timelines.
• Review and update designs and submittals based on consultant comments and client requirements.
• Follow up on samples, mock-ups, order status, and deliveries with suppliers.
• Support site visits, testing and commissioning, and lighting control setup, including DALI, KNX, or similar systems, when required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 3-4 years of proven experience in lighting design and coordination, preferably with a lighting supplier, consultant, or MEP contractor in the GCC.
• Strong command of DIALux evo / Relux and AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of lighting standards, including EN 12464, EN 13201, and CIE, along with LED lighting technology.
• Familiarity with lighting control systems and solar/street lighting is an advantage.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines with high accuracy.
• Good communication, teamwork, and coordination skills.
