Job summary

Selex is seeking a Designer cum Estimation Engineer in Muscat, Oman, to craft detailed electrical drawings and develop layouts for LV switchgear, MCCs, control panels, VFDs, and PLC interfacing. The role demands strict adherence to international standards and tight coordination with project teams.

You will prepare BOQs, load schedules, and cable sizing, while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in electrical drafting and design, specifically in LV switchgear, VFDs, PLCs, and BMS systems.
• Strong command of AutoCAD, EPLAN, or related electrical drafting software.
• Excellent knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel design, and industrial automation concepts.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with high accuracy.
• Good communication, teamwork, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, SLDs, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar tools.
• Design and develop layouts for LV switchgear, MCC, control panels, VFD systems, and PLC interfacing.
• Prepare BOQs, material take-offs, load schedules, and cable sizing calculations as required.
• Ensure all designs comply with international standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with project engineers, procurement, and site teams to ensure accurate and practical designs.
• Review, revise, and update drawings based on engineering comments and client requirements.
• Support the engineering team during testing, commissioning, and technical documentation processes.

The ideal candidate should have solid experience in LV Switchgear, VFDs, PLCs, and BMS systems, with strong proficiency in electrical design software and applicable industry standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
