The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Modern College of Business and Science MCBS invites applications for a full‑time faculty position in Mathematics. The successful candidate will teach mathematics courses, conduct scholarly and applied research, support student learning, and contribute to quality assurance, accreditation, curriculum development and community engagement activities.

Core Teaching Areas

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate mathematics courses in face‑to‑face, online and blended learning modes.
• Develop course syllabi, instructional materials, assessment tasks, rubrics and course files aligned with learning outcomes.
• Integrate technology‑enhanced learning tools, mathematical software and real‑world applications into teaching.
• Conduct research and publish in peer‑reviewed journals, contribute to funded research projects, consultancy and community engagement initiatives.
• Advise and mentor students; supervise projects and support academic and professional development activities.
• Participate in curriculum review, program assessment, moderation, accreditation activities and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes.
• Contribute to departmental committees, outreach activities and institutional service.

Qualification Levels

• Assistant Professor: Ph.D. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics from a recognized university.
• Lecturer: Master’s degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics from a recognized university. (Omanis preferred)

• Professional certifications or industry experience relevant to mathematics, analytics, or operations research.
• Experience with curriculum development, outcome‑based education, and accreditation processes.

Quality Assurance and Accreditation Contributions

• Participate in quality assurance, assessment, and continuous improvement activities of the program and department.
• Support curriculum review, program enhancement, and accreditation‑related initiatives.
• Contribute to departmental committees and activities that support academic quality and institutional effectiveness.
