Job summary

Oman Refinery is seeking an experienced Process Chemical Engineer to provide operational and technical support across upstream surface facilities. You will troubleshoot technical issues, assist with commissioning and start-up, and interface with Operations, Maintenance, Projects, and HSE to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The role requires a Bachelor in Process Chemistry or equivalent, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with PFDs, P&IDs and OEM manuals.

Qualifications

8 years of relevant experience in process chemical engineering.
Knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements.
Ability to interpret PFDs, P&IDs, drawings and OEM manuals.
Experience in upstream surface facilities design support and troubleshooting.
Exposure to project lifecycle including planning, installation, commissioning and start-up.

Responsibilities

Provide operational and technical engineering support across upstream surface facilities.
Support troubleshooting and problem solving for safe plant operations.
Interface with Operations, Maintenance, Projects, HSE and Supply Chain to resolve issues.
Lead readiness activities for projects, brownfield mods and operational improvements.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations; act as technical authority.
