La Cabra in Muscat is seeking a Head Pastry Chef to lead bakery production, uphold quality and brand standards, and mentor a multicultural team of bakers.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on artisan skills with strategic leadership, scaling production without compromising craftsmanship and driving product innovation.

You will oversee daily operations, develop new recipes, and collaborate with marketing to plan seasonal menus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional baking experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in artisan bread and viennoiserie (laminated doughs, sourdough, long-fermentation methods).
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams in high-volume, premium environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily bakery operations, ensuring production meets demand while maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Supervise the preparation of breads, viennoiserie, and pastries per recipes and brand guidelines.
• Oversee product development and testing, introducing new recipes and seasonal items aligned with brand philosophy.
• Maintain hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety standards.
• Collaborate with Retail and Marketing on launches, campaigns, and seasonal menus.
• Provide input into equipment needs and bakery layout for optimal production flow.
