Job summary

Amentum in Thumrait, Oman, seeks a Chief Age Mechanic for a full-time on-site role. The incumbent will supervise AGE technicians, perform inspections, maintenance, servicing and storage of AGE equipment, and ensure compliance with the ISO 9001 QMS.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and fuel systems on turbine, diesel and gasoline AGE assets, coordinating work with the AGE Superintendent to set priorities, and preparing work orders and documentation for

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Five years' experience with the US Air Force or civilian organization in aircraft ground support equipment maintenance.
• Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.
• Able to review electrical and electronic systems using diagrams and schematics.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Primary supervisor to train AGE mechanics and perform inspection, maintenance and repair actions on AGE assets.
• Prepare and update training records and coordinate actions required with work orders.
• Direct maintenance using technical orders and Amentum directives to meet quality standards.
• Prepare assets for shipment by air, sea and surface transport and inspect hazardous materials.
