Job summary

Amentum seeks a Power Gen Mechanic in Thumrait, Oman to operate, maintain, test and repair electrical generating equipment, water systems and related gear. You will troubleshoot, inspect and service assets per PWS and ISO QMS, ensuring safety and reliability on site.

The role requires handling test equipment, reading schematics, and coordinating with USAF/Amentum directives while traveling as required. Ideally you bring strong mechanical and electrical skills and a readiness for TDY duties.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English at beginner level.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with high/low voltage generators and load testing is preferred.
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
• Must wear PPE according to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Examines electrical equipment for damages, corrosion and operation.
• Operates and maintains power distribution systems and equipment.
• Bench checks repairable components using test equipment.
• Prepares documentation including Work Orders and Maximo.
• Adheres to safety, quality standards and technical orders.
• Supports Bare Base power generation and related equipment.
