Job summary

SalamAir in Muscat, Oman is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to organize, plan and coordinate resources for timely servicing and repairs of the fleet.

The role includes inspection and certification of work, supervision of staff, ensuring tooling is serviceable, and coordinating with QA and maintenance managers to meet airworthiness standards.

Qualifications

• 3-year diploma in Aeronautical Engineering required.
• Ab-initio courses for Aircraft Engineer.
• ICAO Type II Basic License.
• 5 years in aircraft maintenance workshop as certified engineer.
• Level 2 NDT qualification in all methods.

Responsibilities

• Organize plan and co-ordinate resources in the aircraft maintenance to ensure proper and timely repair.
• Perform inspection and certify maintenance work carried out by him and by non-certifying staff allocated under him on Company's or customer's aircraft and airborne equipment to the standards required by the Airworthiness Authority and the Company.
• Supervision of staff under his control to ensure that the Company's Rules and Regulations and standards are adhered to and maintained.
• Ensure that all tooling and equipment provided is serviceable and calibrated and are operated to the Company's standards and report any unserviceability, to ensure corrective action is taken.
• Ensure that all incident and accident occurrences are recorded and reported to the Manager Quality Assurance and Manager Aircraft Line Maintenance.
• Approve requisitions for spare parts and materials required for servicing and maintenance of company fleet.
• Inspection of work performed for Salam Air to ensure that airworthiness authority requirement, rules, regulations, procedures and directives are complied.
• Liaise with Quality Assurance team on all matters related to airworthiness maintenance / service difficulties.
• Ensure that all work areas allocated, including aircraft Hangar are maintained in a safe and good housekeeping order.
• Report to the Manager Line Maintenance in respect of all Airworthiness matters connected with the Terms of Approval as described in the Company exposition.

Ensure that all staff working in the shift adheres to theHSE policies of the company and comply with regulatory authority requirements.

Assist in ensuring proper work documents are raised,controlled and cleared up in accordance with approved procedures and methodsprior to releasing aircraft for service.

Supervision of all staff under him to ensure that the company's rules, regulations and standards and adhered to and maintained

Carry out any other Aircraft maintenance task as and whendirected by Line Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

3-year diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (Graduate shallbe an advantage)

Ab-initio courses for Aircraft Engineer.

ICAO Type II Basic License

5 years in aircraft maintenance workshop as certifiedengineer
