Job summary

Maersk Line Limited is seeking a Transportation Planner in Oman to plan, coordinate, and dispatch daily transport activities. You will allocate trucks, coordinate port, depot, and warehouse movements, monitor execution, and communicate with vendors and internal teams to meet deadlines.

The role emphasizes optimization, KPI tracking, and adherence to safety while supporting continuous improvement and service quality in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in transportation, logistics, dispatching, or landside operations.
• Good knowledge of port and container transportation operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and transportation management systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily transport movements and allocate trucks based on priorities.
• Coordinate pickups, deliveries, port, depot, and warehouse activities.
• Monitor truck movements and ensure timely execution of transport orders.
• Manage appointments and follow up to avoid delays or missed slots.
• Communicate with transport vendors, drivers, terminals, depots, and internal teams.
• Resolve operational issues and escalate critical exceptions when required.
• Ensure accurate updates in transportation and operational systems.
• Track daily performance and support achievement of KPIs.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and procedures.
