Job summary

Galfar Engg. & Contracting SAOG in Muscat, Oman invites applications for a role focused on sample collection, laboratory testing and field tests within the project.

The position requires 5–7 years in material testing of infrastructure projects (soil, embankment, aggregate, concrete, asphalt) and a Diploma in Civil Engineering or a Science degree. You will maintain records and coordinate with the Material Engineer and inspectors to resolve non-conformances.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Bachelor's degree in Science required.
• 5–7 years of material testing experience on infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for sample collection, in-house laboratory and field tests.
• Maintain proper upkeep of all laboratory and field test equipment.
• Prepare, maintain and retain lab/field test records.
• Follow standard testing procedures per relevant codes and standards.
• Inform Material Engineer/Inspector of non-conformances observed.
• Coordinate with material engineer for technical issues at site or in lab.
