Job summary

Galfar Engg. & Contracting SAOG in Muscat seeks a Civil Site Supervisor to manage road works according to drawings and schedules. You will supervise operations, allocate tasks, and ensure material availability per daily plan in a dynamic construction environment.

The role requires a Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5–7 years of relevant experience, and a focus on safety, quality, and productivity on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 5–7 years in road excavation, backfilling, pavements and related works.

Responsibilities

• Execute road works at site per drawings and schedule.
• Supervise works to meet specifications and quality requirements.
• Assign tasks to skilled/unskilled manpower, machinery, and ensure materials per daily plan.
• Prepare daily programs and report site progress.
• Lead daily meetings to ensure productivity and control costs with QHSE training.
• Track and maintain records of site progress.
• Consult Sr Engineer on clarifications related to drawings.
• Measure performance of workers/equipment against organizational norms.
• Implement and maintain Safety standards at work locations.

Job Description

• Responsible for execution of road works at site as per the drawings as scheduled plan.
• Supervises the works and ensures the works are executed in adherence with the requirement specification and quality.
• Assign works to the skilled and unskilled manpower, machinery and arrange required materials and ensure the availability as per the days plan.
• Preparation of daily programs and updating the site progress as per the Projections and reporting on a daily basis.
• Responsible for conducting meetings with the workers on a daily basis to ensure the required productivity and control the cost train them on QHSE requirements.
• Tracks and maintains the records as per the site progress as a part of daily activity.
• Analysing the drawings and interacts with the Sr Engineer for any clarifications related to the drawings.
• Responsible for measuring the performance of workers and equipment and comparing it with the norms of the organisation.
• Implement and maintain the Safety standards at work locations.

Requirements

• 5-7 Years in road excavation, backfilling, sub base, pavements, road furniture, utility works, riprap/ gabion protection works, drainage channels etc.
