Job summary

ahlibank in Muscat, Oman seeks a results-driven leader to head the Islamic Direct Sales Unit. The role focuses on achieving targets for retail Islamic banking products, especially deposits, through field visits and referrals.

You will supervise and develop the Direct Sales Representatives, conduct daily briefings and training, and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements while promoting customer excellence and market growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years banking experience with leadership or supervisory roles.
• Experience in Islamic banking preferred.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Islamic Direct Sales Unit to achieve sales targets for retail Islamic banking products, particularly deposits.
• Proactively identify and approach prospective customers through field visits, referrals, and campaigns.
• Supervise, support, and mentor the Direct Sales Representatives to enhance performance.
• Conduct daily team briefings, performance reviews, and on-the-job training to build skills and motivation.
• Maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers by ensuring a high level of service.
• Address customer inquiries and ensure prompt resolution of issues in line with service standards.
• Ensure all customer applications and sales activities comply with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the accuracy and completeness of submitted documentation and coordinate with relevant departments for processing.
• Represent the bank at external events to promote Islamic banking products and identify key sales locations.
• Prepare and submit sales performance reports, client visit updates, and tracking dashboards to the Head of Islamic Direct Sales.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of sales processes.
• Monitor the quality of customer engagements conducted by the team and implement corrective actions for service gaps.
