Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering is seeking a professional to lead and manage all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities within the offshore fabrication yard in Oman. The role involves developing and implementing a robust Project HSE Plan, promoting a strong HSE culture, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and client-specific requirements.

The successful candidate will oversee various operations, conduct safety analyses and risk assessments, and supervise activities such as welding, cutting, and hazardous material handling. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute significantly to HSE practices in the oil and gas sector.

• Lead and manage all HSE activities within the offshore fabrication yard.
• Develop, implement and maintain the strong Project HSE Plan.
• Promote a strong HSE culture across all levels of the workforce.
• Advise Yard Management on HSE risks and performance.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and client HSE requirements.
• Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and risk assessments.
• Oversee heavy fabrication and lifting operations.
• Supervise welding, cutting and hot works.
• Supervise electrical works and commissioning readiness.
• Supervise painting, blasting and hazardous material handling.

• Promote a strong HSE culture across all levels of the workforce
• Advise Yard Management on HSE risks, performance and improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations and labor laws, client and project-specific HSE requirements
• Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA), risk assessments, method statements, Permit to Work (PTW) system
• Oversee heavy fabrication and lifting operations
• Supervise welding, cutting and hot works
• Supervise electrical works and commissioning readiness
• Supervise painting, blasting and hazardous material handling
