Job summary

The Sultan’s School in Oman is seeking an experienced Head of Learning Support / Inclusion to lead Secondary Additional Support from August 2026. You will develop personalised provision for students with learning and language needs and guide staff through CPD.

You will shape inclusive practice across the school, monitor progress, build strong partnerships with parents and external agencies, and contribute to school improvement and inclusion strategy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years post-qualifying teaching experience.
• Bachelor’s degree closely related to teaching subject.
• Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS or equivalent.
• Under 60 years of age due to visa restrictions.
• Safer recruitment checks will apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of personalised support for students with learning and language needs.
• Support and develop teachers through advice, collaboration and CPD.
• Provide guidance to staff on inclusive practices and assessment.
• Monitor student progress and maintain effective student-monitoring systems.
• Contribute strategically to school improvement and inclusion initiatives.
