Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd, based in Dammam, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia, seeks a GIS I&C Engineer to support installation, commissioning and fault elimination for PGHV transmission projects. You will install high voltage systems and ensure QA and safety on site.

The role requires a bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, 2–5 years GIS experience, SF6 handling knowledge, and strong English communication; MS Project is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering required.
• 2–5 years of GIS experience preferred.
• Experience with SF6 gas-handling and PGHV GIS product knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Project required.
• Strong English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out installation and maintenance work independently.
• Ensuring compliance with the installation requirements and safety guidelines.
• Advising the sub-supplier's installation superintendent in planning and coordination of the work.
• Inspecting arriving material for completeness and possible damage and coordination of material handling.
• Issuing non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment.
• Supervising final installation & commissioning tests and PG installation completion documentation.
• Supervising and coordinating loop check activities and participating in site meetings as requested.
• Ensuring compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and Hitachi Energy values.
