Job summary

Khimji Ramdas in Muscat, Oman, is seeking a General Manager-Finance (Cluster Finance Head) to lead financial strategy, planning, compliance, and performance for the Shipping & Logistics business across the GCC.

The role requires Chartered Accountant credentials with 20 years of experience in finance leadership, overseeing IFRS reporting, treasury, cost control, and strategic partnering for growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant qualification
• Minimum 20 years of experience in finance leadership
• Location: Muscat, Oman in GCC region
• Reporting to GCFO/Cluster Director of P&L Cluster

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Act as strategic partner to leadership for expansion, investments, and operational efficiency.
• Drive profitability, cost control, and capital efficiency across shipping, freight forwarding, and logistics operations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning; monitor performance vs budget.
• Support pricing strategies for shipping, warehousing, and logistics services; conduct feasibility studies for new projects.
• Ensure IFRS-compliant financial statements; oversee GL, payables/receivables, fixed assets; close processes.
• Ensure GCC tax compliance (VAT, corporate tax where applicable); liaison with auditors and regulators.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships; optimize funding and liquidity.
• Monitor costs across fuel, freight, port charges, warehousing, and fleet maintenance; drive automation.
