Job summary

Thehseleader in Oman is seeking a health, safety and environment support professional. The role provides technical HSE guidance to company and subcontractor personnel, requires travel to operating locations, and follows a 7/7 schedule.

It emphasizes promoting a proactive safety culture, supporting HSE/QMS programmes, and assisting with inspections, audits, and safe work practices, including lockout/tagout and permits. A minimum of one year in a similar role is expected plus a high‑school diploma.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar safety/environment role or industry.
• Strong English communication skills required.
• Willingness and ability to travel as part of the role.
• College/associate/technical safety or environmental qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to company and subcontractor personnel to meet health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and support HSE/QMS programmes, policies and training.
• Assist site leadership with inspections, audits and behavioural safety requirements, including lockout/tagout, fall protection, safety equipment, JSA, permits and follow-up of corrective actions.
• Observe and coach employees performing critical tasks and stop work when clarification or correction is needed.

Applicants need at least one year of experience in a similar position or industry, a high-school diploma or equivalent, strong English communication skills and the ability to travel. Previous safety or environmental experience in oil and gas and a college, associate or technical qualification in safety or environmental studies are preferred.
