Job summary

OQEP is seeking a seasoned Energy Management Lead to drive the Energy Management System across all operated assets in Oman. You will lead energy reviews, data collection, and reporting to management, delivering measurable energy cost savings.

This role requires ISO 50001 expertise, Lead Auditor certification, and a strong background in energy engineering, with the ability to coordinate cross-disciplinary teams and mentor engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process/Chemical, or Energy Engineering.
• Postgraduate qualification in Energy Management preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in energy management or engineering.
• ISO Lead Auditor certification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment and operation of EnMS across all operated assets.
• Develop, review, and enhance EnMS documentation per standards.
• Conduct energy reviews to identify Significant Energy Uses and opportunities.
• Organize EnMT meetings; prepare agendas and records.
• Develop and maintain Energy Data Collection Plan; ensure timely data submission.
• Establish and monitor EnPIs and baselines; track progress to targets.
• Provide technical support for energy initiatives and progress reporting.
• Act as primary interface between Technical Services and stakeholders on energy matters.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement energy performance improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams for energy efficiency, decarbonization projects.
• Promote EnMS awareness and conduct internal auditor training.
• Plan and manage EnMS audits; schedule, report findings, close actions.
• Liaise with certification bodies for certification maintenance.
• Lead energy-related projects from concept to execution; budget and performance.
• Mentor trainees and junior engineers in EnMS practices.
