Job summary

OQ in Muscat seeks a dynamic Head of Sustainability to lead environmental strategy, governance and performance across offshore, onshore, and international projects. You will drive decarbonization efforts, ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and regulatory requirements, and oversee a team delivering environmental due diligence, audits, and continual improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering or related field with 8+ years of leadership in environmental management, plus

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
8+ years of post-qualification experience with leadership responsibilities.
Fluent in Arabic and English.

Responsibilities

Define and lead the environmental strategy, governance, and performance for Operated Assets and projects.
Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and ISO 14001 alignment.
Oversee environmental due diligence, risk assessments, and regulatory submissions.
Lead emissions reduction, decarbonization initiatives, and sustainability reporting.
Develop team capabilities and foster Omanisation and succession planning.
Coordinate audits, inspections, and management assurance activities.
