Job summary

Acme Services in Oman seeks an experienced Deputy Legal Manager to provide comprehensive legal support and oversee compliance operations. The role focuses on contract drafting and vetting, governance, and regulatory compliance to mitigate organizational risk.

The ideal candidate has a strong corporate law background with 8+ years of post-qualification experience in contract management. A CS qualification is highly preferred for enhanced governance oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) is required.
• CS qualification is highly preferred.
• Minimum 8+ years of post-qualification legal experience in corporate legal affairs and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial, vendor, facility, and operational agreements to mitigate risk.
• Advise management on corporate, commercial, and operational matters while implementing governance policies and compliance frameworks.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel on notices, contractual disputes, and regulatory matters.
• Interpret applicable laws, monitor regulatory developments, support licensing/accreditation, and manage organizational risk.

What You’ll Do

• Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial, vendor, facility, and operational agreements to mitigate risk.
• Legal Advisory & Governance: Advise management on corporate, commercial, and operational matters while implementing governance policies and compliance frameworks.
• Dispute & Litigation Oversight: Coordinate with external legal counsel on notices, contractual disputes, and regulatory matters.
• Regulatory Compliance: Interpret applicable laws, monitor regulatory developments, support licensing/accreditation, and manage organizational risk.

Who We’re Looking For

• Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) required; Company Secretary (CS) qualification highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 8+ years of post-qualification legal experience in corporate legal affairs and contract management.
• Industry Advantage: Prior experience within a corporate, hospital, healthcare, or highly regulated environment is an added advantage.
• Core Competencies: Expertise in contract drafting/vetting, labor law, risk assessment, and stakeholder management.
