Job summary

Crowne Plaza Muscat OCEC is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie to assist the Chef de Partie in managing a specific kitchen section, preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes while supervising junior staff and ensuring hygiene and safety standards for True Hospitality for Good. The role requires 3–5 years kitchen experience, a culinary qualification, and fluency in English.

Experience in hotel kitchens or fine dining is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized culinary institute preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of kitchen experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or Demi Chef de Partie role preferred.
• Experience in hotel kitchens, fine dining, or large-scale catering is an advantage.
• Fluent in English (spoken & written).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chef de Partie in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes for the assigned section.
• Ensure consistency and quality in taste, portion, and presentation according to recipes and hotel standards.
• Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff in the assigned section.
• Support with mise en place and preparation for service.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards and proper storage of ingredients.
