Reboot Monkey in Oman seeks an experienced Data Center Technician for on-site contract work in Barka. You'll perform hardware installations, server racking, cabling, and migrations across premier data center facilities.

Candidates should have 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure, strong cabling skills, and professional English. DCIM and ticketing experience, plus relevant certifications, are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams
• Lift 50+ lbs and work in raised floor environments
• Own transportation and on-site availability
• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, or similar) - preferred
• Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) - preferred
• Experience with DCIM and ticketing systems - preferred
• Familiarity with major colocation providers - preferred

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance/contract work in Barka, OM. This is an on-site position supporting mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities.

Compensation

$20-28/hr (USD hourly)

Rates vary based on experience level and project complexity. Emergency and after-hours work may qualify for premium rates.
