Job summary

TRACTEBEL seeks an experienced Site Manager / Construction Manager to support an Owner’s Engineer assignment for a major renewable energy infrastructure project in Oman. You will lead day-to-day site supervision activities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure works align with approved designs, quality, safety, and project procedures.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 15+ years in construction management within power/renewable sectors; prior site-based experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction management, site supervision, or project delivery within power generation, renewable energy, infrastructure, or large EPC environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily site supervision activities and coordinate the Owner’s Engineer site team across civil, electrical, renewable energy, quality, planning, HSE interface, and document control functions.
• Monitor construction works against approved drawings, specifications, inspection plans, method statements, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate site interfaces between contractors, discipline engineers, project stakeholders, and relevant authorities or third parties.
• Review progress, identify risks, delays, interface constraints, and quality concerns, and support timely corrective actions.
• Ensure site observations, technical issues, quality concerns, and progress updates are accurately captured and reported.
• Support permit, regulatory, stakeholder, and interface coordination activities as required.
• Act as the senior site representative for the Owner’s Engineer team and deputise for project leadership when required.

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Site Manager / Construction Manager to support an Owner’s Engineer assignment for a major renewable energy infrastructure project in Oman. The successful candidate will lead day-to-day site supervision activities, coordinate multidisciplinary site teams, and ensure that construction works are executed in accordance with approved designs, quality standards, safety requirements, project procedures, and good industry practice.

• Prior site-based experience on utility-scale wind, solar PV, BESS, grid, substation, or similar energy infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, multidisciplinary site coordination, progress monitoring, quality surveillance, and interface management.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
