Job summary

National Aluminium Products Company based in Muscat is seeking a qualified individual to oversee quality control and management of chemicals in aluminum extrusion processes. The role involves ensuring the maintenance of parameters in anodizing, powder coating, and other treatments.

The selected candidate will be responsible for in-process quality checks, operation of demineralization plants, and providing reports on chemical usage to relevant ministries. Experience in handling chemicals and quality assurance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality of incoming chemicals.
• Accept/reject the material, signing of MRN.
• Manage maintenance of chemical parameters of anodizing, powder coating, and water treatment within defined limits.
• Conduct in-process quality control.
• Trial new products in anodizing and powder coating.
• Operate and control demineralization plants.
• Verify technical details of quoted products/chemicals for suitability.
• Plan and schedule cleaning of tanks, sumps, and pits.
• Prevent reports of rejection of materials due to chemical bath issues.
• Prepare reports regarding chemicals usage/storage for different ministries.
• Analyze critical chemical parameters of bath.

Key Responsibilities

• To ensure the quality of incoming chemicals.
• Accept/ reject the material, signing of MRN.
• To ensure the maintenance of chemicals parameters of anodizing, powder coating, water treatment, fluent treatment, within defined limits.
• In-process quality control.
• Trial of new products in anodizing and powder coating
• Operation and control of demineralization plants
• Verification of technical details of the quoted products/chemicals by supplier for the suitability of its use.
• Schedule and planning of the cleaning of tanks, sumps, pits
• Ensure no report of rejection of materials due to chemical bath problems
• Prepare relevant reports to different ministry regarding chemicals usage/storage
• Analysis of critical chemical parameter of bath
